St. John College completes cycle 1 of NAAC accreditation process

Dimapur, March 29 (MExN): St. John College has completed the 1st cycle of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation process.  

The college hosted NAAC peer team comprising Prof. Vijay Laxmi Pandit, Pro Vice Chancellor, Arunachal University of Studies, Arunachal Pradesh (Chairperson), Prof Shital Kumar Chattopadhayay, Prof of Chemistry, Dean, faculty of science, University of Kalyani, West Bengal (Member), and Dr. Indira Bordoloi, former principal, Handique Girls College, Guwahati, Assam, (Member, co-ordinator) on March 27 and 28.  

On the first day, the Administrative Head presented the institution’s profile followed by IQAC and HoD presentation, informed a press release. The peer team also inspected the college campus and infrastructure. Thereafter they had interaction with convenors and members of different cells and committees, alumni, parents association, students’ council and the students in general. The first day ended with a cultural programme presented by the faculty members and students of the college.  

Major part of the second day was spent in reviewing the documentation and preparation of report, the release stated. The NAAC peer team visit ended with an exit meeting which was attended by the administration, faculty members and students’ council members. Earlier, upon their arrival, the team was welcomed by Peter J Banks, Administrative Head, Setuomenuo, Assistant Director, Dr. Temsunungla, IQAC co-ordinator along with AK Das, vice-principal and students.
