CHÜMOUKEDIMA, MARCH 2 (MExN): St. Joseph University (SJU) celebrated National Science Day 2025 with a series of academic and competitive events aimed at promoting scientific innovation. Organized by the university’s Science Club in collaboration with the Institution Innovation Council, the event drew 288 students and over 40 faculty members from six science departments.

The celebration featured a keynote address by Vice-Chancellor Dr. D. Gnanadurai, who spoke on this year’s theme, “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat.” He encouraged faculty to incorporate AICTE-listed software tools into teaching and called for increased enrollment in science programs at SJU.

A competition session followed, where students showcased innovative projects in an exhibition, debated the impact of artificial intelligence on employment, and participated in a science-themed cosplay event. Winners received certificates and prize money in recognition of their achievements.
