Participants during the 10th Edition of Theatre Day organized by St. Joseph’s College (A), Jakhama on March 22.
Jakhama, March 23 (MExN): The Department of English, St Joseph’s College (A), Jakhama hosted 10th Edition of Theatre Day at college indoor stadium on March 22.
Various plays were enacted, The Monologue of Life by MA second Semester, Till Death to us… Start? by MA fourth Semester, The Colour of Comedy by BA second Semester ‘C’, Cindrella by BA second Semester ‘D’, Good Omens by BA fourth Semester ‘C’, Likes over Lives by BA IV Semester ‘D’, Contradictions of Two Generations (Millinial & GenZ) by BA sixth Semester ‘C’ and The Government Inspector by BA sixth Semester ‘D’. BA fourth Semester ‘C’, BA second semester ‘D’ and BA sixth Semester ‘C’ were judged as the first, second and third place winners respectively.
The programme was hosted by Chunthai Gonmei and Grace Dohmai also saw other items like dance performance by Lana Kamei & Co, Special Song by Voices, Declaration of the results by Tsurenshe L, Cultural Secretary of the department, and Vote of Thanks was proposed by Lenshito Chang, General Secretary of the department.
The programme started with an invocation led by brother Anmol Soreng SJ followed by Welcome Address by Keneiphrenuo Sanchu, President, Department of English, SJC (A), Jakhama. Special song was presented by Cinuto Phuswhuo, after which Josephine Jasietsono, the new Head of the Department took the stage to declare the day open.
