St Thomas Mission Society continue food for security mission 

Dimapur, December 6 (MExN): As part of its 19th phase of ‘food for security’ mission, the St Thomas Mission Society distributed food kits for 120 families on December 6. According to a press release from the society, the mission which started in the month of April 2020 to help stranded families in Dimapur, has completed 19 phases and is continuing in the 8th month.   MGM teachers are contributing one-day salary from the month of March 2020, making it the primary source of funds for the mission, it said. 

It also said that several businesses, church members and well wishers sponsored money and food items for the different phases of the mission. Till today a total of 1,585 food kits were distributed during all these phases of continuous mission, it added. 

In the release, St Thomas Mission Society's Secretary Fr Dr PS Varghese expressed gratitude to all the sponsors, well wishers, MGM staff, fraternity, Manish Aggarwal and Vinay Panday for their continuous help. 

With the support of the well wishers, the society is hoping to continue the mission for few more months, the release stated.
