In its 5th phase of relief works, the St Thomas Mission Society distributed food kits to several families in Dimapur on May 24.

DIMAPUR, MAY 24 (MExN): The St Thomas Mission Society distributed food items to families adversely affected by the COVID-19 lockdown in and around Dimapur on May 24. 


Mission society members along with church members distributed food kits to the students and staff staying in areas of Midland, Sachu Colony, Landmark Colony, Rio Colony, Lingrijan and Dhobinala.


Mission Society Secretary, Fr Dr PS Varghese, expressed gratitude to all the teachers of MGMHSS and MGOS Church members for taking the initiative to identify and distribute food kits. He appreciated all the teachers particularly: J. Panday, Enanloyou, Madhusmitha, Anungla, Rakhi Das and Madhumita who were involved in distributing the food kits. Teachers Lothoungbeni, Rosy, KC Mathew and Rajesh distributed at Lingrijan area. 


This is the 5th phase of the mission society's 'Food for Security' COVID-19 relief programme which has reached out to over 60 beneficiaries. So far, the STMS has distributed 400 food kits.
