Jalukie, June 27 (MExN): St. Xavier College, Jalukie celebrated its 11th Graduation Day on June 22 with Er Vemete Pusa, SDO (R&B), as the chief guest, and Lankonsen Tsanglo, SDO (civil) as guest of honour. Other guest included Martin from Australia, parents and dignitaries.
A press release issued by Literary Secretary Pauchile stated that out of the 55 graduates, special awards were given to Jonwangliu, Diluwar, Silubuile (B.A. Toppers), Sr. Yhulhung Teresa, (4th Sem Topper) and Nouroudin (2nd Sem Topper). Kedirang Pame bagged the Outstanding Student Award while Kemteule was adjudged the Smart Starter among the freshers.
Speaking on the occasion, Er Vemete Pusa SDO (R&B) Jalukie reminded the students to be prepared for the challenges in the world to come in their effort to attain more success. Quoting the words of Mark Zackerburg “ideas don’t come fully formed, they only become clear as one works on them. Therefore get started with what you have,” he exhorted the students to grow as youngsters with a vision and making a difference in the society.
LankonsenTsanglo, SDO Civil, Jalukie, in his talk, exhorted the students “to stand on and strive on in the midst of failure with positive character which will only guide you to destination.”
Sr. Maria, Vice Principal, invoked God’s blessings of God followed by lighting of the lamp symbolizing joy, peace and prosperity. Rev. Dr. Francis, Principal of the College, addressed the gathering extending note of congratulation giving a glimpse of the steady progress of the college striving for greater goals in the days to come. Other highlights of the day included dances, songs and words appreciation and thanksgiving.
