Startup Nagaland Boot Camp organised by the District Industries Centre, Mokokchung was held at Whispering Winds Conference Hall on 27 July. The Boot camp was organized as a part of the implementation of the Nagaland Startup Policy 2019 and in compliance with the Startup India Ranking Framework 2019 of the Ministry of Industries & Commerce, Government of India.


The programme was chaired by I. Nochet, Functional Manager while the introduction to Startup India and Ideation Workshop was given by Er. Keneirienuo K. Theuno, Asst. Director, DIC.

 


Short motivational talks were also given by Rohit Singh, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, Mokokchung and Tsukti Longkumer, Chairman, Mokokchung Entrepreneurs Consortium. The two speakers were also the judges for the Startup Nagaland Bootcamp competition.

 


During the competition, the participants presented new innovative ideas. The best innovative idea winner was Noklensangyu from Jubilee Memorial College, while the second place was bagged by Imjungnaro, Sharon and Imtisungla representing Jubilee Memorial School and third place was bagged by Lirichum Sangtam and Ayangshi Jamir representing Senayangba Hr. Sec School.

Tuensang: A Startup Nagaland Boot Camp was organized at CKS Hall, Tuensang Town on July 27 by the Department of Industries & Commerce as part of the implementation of the Nagaland Startup Policy 2019 and in compliance with the Startup India Ranking Framework 2019 of the Ministry of Commerce & Industries, GoI.

 


Video clip highlights of the Startup India initiative followed by a powerpoint presentation on the Nagaland Startup Policy 2019 was shared by Kuko Nuh- Nagaland Startup Team Member.

 


Athrise, Inspector of Industries spoke on the Entrepreneurship Development and highlighted the various schemes that are available in the Department for entrepreneurs to access. A motivational talk was given by Alemla Chang, recipient of Nagaland Governor’s award. The Boot camp panel of judge was Ruokuosetuo Tetso, Extra Assistant Commissioner of Tuensang and Ahunle Tep-Functional manager of Sub-DIC Noklak.


Vote of thanks was pronounced by Yangdikhum, Inspector of Industries. The event was attended by students from various colleges in Tuensang and entrepreneurs. 

 


In the closing remark, EAC Tuensang, Tetso impressed upon all the participants to create avenues for self-employment through Startup entrepreneurships. He said that government jobs have reached a point where it is becoming unsustainable and hence in order to tackle this problem, he urged the participants to take up innovative entrepreneurship and generate income and jobs.
