State DoFHW team conduct review meeting at Wokha

Wokha, November 28 (MExN): In view to re-strengthen the existing health functionaries in the District, State Review team from Directorate of Health & Family Welfare conducted a review meeting with medical officers from the periphery and DPMU staffs on November 27.  

The team was led by Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru, Mission Director National Health Mission (NHM), Dr. Tiasunep Pongen SPO (RNTCP), Dr. Longai Phom, Dy. Director (Store), Dr.John Kemp SSO (IDSP), Dr. Roko DTO Phek District, Keneingutuo M&E consultant, Kewetso Kenye PA Finance, Ngangnenmongba PSCM consultant, stated a press release issued by Mhonbeni Ezung, Media Officer NHM CMO office Wokha.  

The meeting was chaired by Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Robin Lotha. A PowerPoint was presented by Matsung, DPM (NHM) on the District health status report.  

The Mission Director (NHM), stressed that every staff should work with sincerity, and stated that Wokha district can achieve and improve more on the health indicators citing examples from other remote districts of Nagaland Wokha District villages are far more accessible and can smoothly deliver health services to the people.  

He extended congratulations the District on their successful achievement during MRV-C and encouraged the staffs to continue with the dedicated mindset, the same zeal and enthusiasm shown at the MRV campaign. He also expressed his happiness on achieving and making 2 TB free blocks in the District. He encouraged the District team to continue the monitoring and supervision at all the health units for delivering better health services and motivating the health workers at the block.  

Dr. Tiasunep spoke on re-deployment of staff within the District in those health centres where manpower is less and every health personnel are assigned for multi tasking responsibility. Dr. Longai (Store) stated that timely submission of ASSET reports to the State for purchase of the District requirements.  

Kenei spoke on Malaria and envision of eliminating Malaria by 2030, in this regard he said that all the MTS should enhance their surveillance activities and proper usage of the bikes allotted to the concern MTS.  

The meeting was attended by NHM NVBDCP staffs and which was followed by interactions with staffs on their problems/issues. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Zuben Kikon Dy.CMO Wokha.
