Dimapur, October 8 (MExN): The Nagaland State government has announced that they were actively considering the decision of clearing all pending payments, in line with the demands made by the All Commercial Vehicle Owners Associations (ACVOAs) of Wokha, Mokokchung, Tuensang, Zunheboto and Longleng and that the bills will be cleared on or before October 31.
This was announced by Mhabemo Yanthan, IAS, Commissioner, in an official communication addressed to the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of the five affected districts. In this regard, the Commissioner made a fervent appeal to the ACVOAs to call-off the proposed chakka bandh as the dateline issued by the government and extend necessary cooperation to the authorities concerned.
The matter pertained to the non-payment of dues to the commercial vehicle owners for usage of vehicles during the election to 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election in February 2023.
