Nagaland CAWD & Taxes advisor Küdecho Khamo today inaugurated Khape’s Boutique at Multi- level car parking complex (3rd Floor), PR Hill Kohima.

Speaking on the occasion, Khamo said that the state government is focusing on holistic business growth and encouraging various business enterprises in the state. “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, we have taken up various steps to improvise and encourage young people who are willing to take up entrepreneurship,” he said.

Khamo encouraged the unemployed youth to avail Chief Minister’s Micro Finance initiative and other small enterprise development schemes. He expressed happiness that the youngsters are now getting more interest in entrepreneurship.

He also told the gathering that Nagaland Industries & Commerce Advisor, Hekani Jakhalu has been initiating various steps to improve and make more business friendly atmosphere “so that young people can have easy access to the government facilities/schemes.”

‘Take up business with seriousness’
Khamo urged upon the younger generation to take up business as a profession. He said that employment in the government sector has reached the saturation point and it is not possible to accommodate all the educated people into the government job.

“Entrepreneurship is not second to any other profession. It is the best and the most promising career,” he maintained. In this, he called upon the young people to set a clear vision and work for it and become successful entrepreneur.

Stating that many outsiders are doing good business in Nagaland, he said “In our own land, we going to be sales boy and sales girl, we are going to be their labour if we don’t pick up business now.” To become a strong nation, a progressive state and a rich country, it depends on the quality of the person in that country, he said.

Stressing on the need to take up business with seriousness, he said “Entrepreneurship is the only engine that can propel growth and development.”

Khamo lauded Medotso Khape, the proprietor of Khape’s Boutique for his hard work, commitment and seriousness in the entrepreneurship journey.

Medotso entered into business venture in 2013 by undertaking leather shoes, jackets and bags repairing unit in Kohima. He established mini manufacturing unit through Prime Ministers Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) in 2015. Today, Khape runs four commercial activities.

Earlier, Neizoii Khalo pronounced dedicatory prayer. Akhale V Khamo, General Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland, John Kath, General Secretary, Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union and other dignitaries also present at the function.
