Dimapur, November 26 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland has constituted a three member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to inquire into the ambush on Goa Governor Dr SC Jamir on November 24. The SIT will be headed by CP Giri, IPS, Additional DGP (Operations) and will include GK Rengma, IPS, IGP (Range) and M. Chase, DIG (NAP), Kohima as members. According to a notification issued by Chief Secretary Lalhuma and signed by Home Commissioner Sentiyanger Imchen, the SIT will inquire into the circumstances leading to the ambush on November 24 and will ascertain the identity of the perpetrators of the act and related matters thereof. The SIT will also be required to report on whether the security arrangements made were adequate. The inquiry report shall be submitted within 15 days time from the date of issue of the notification, it was stated.
