State Level Apprenticeship Awareness workshop on June 20

Kohima, June 19 (MExN): The Regional Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Assam, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India with support from the Department of Employment, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, Government of Nagaland, will be organizing the State Level Apprenticeship Awareness workshop at Capital Convention Center, Kohima on June 20.

The workshop will be graced by Moatoshi Longkumer, MLA and Advisor for Labour and Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Excise, as the guest of honour, a DIPR report stated. 

The objective of this workshop is to improve the participation of all stakeholders in the apprenticeship ecosystem and promote apprenticeship training in the State. By bringing together industry leaders, academia, schools, and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), the workshop aims to facilitate extensive discussions and collaborations toward advancing apprenticeship training.

The technical session of the workshop will primarily focus on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) and its reforms. Participants will have the opportunity to gain insights into the latest developments, understand the benefits and challenges of the scheme, and discover effective strategies for successful implementation. Additionally, there will be an apprenticeship portal walkthrough session to provide practical guidance on utilizing the online platform efficiently. Participants will gain valuable insights into the apprenticeship ecosystem, emerging trends, and best practices, further fostering collaborations and partnerships for the betterment of the workforce.
