DIMAPUR JULY 14 (MExN): A state level workshop on Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2023 was held at PHED Directorate Kohima on July 14. The main objective of Swachh Survekshan Grameen (SSG) is to survey sanitation and cleanliness status in the villages across the nation on an annual basis.
The survey has been instrumental in fostering a spirit of healthy competition among villages to improve their service sanitation and hygiene status and towards creating cleaner villages across the country, a press release issued by Thefulie, state IEC Consultant, Sanitation & WSSO, PHED informed. Opening remarks was given by Er Thsathrichem Sangtam, Chief Engineer, Sanitation and WSSO, PHED while the programme was chaired by Thenusou Sekhose, State HRD Consultant, Sanitation & WSSO, PHED. Presentation on ‘An overview on Swaschh Survekshan Grameen 2023’ was delivered by Rupali Mishra, Research Manager, Ipsos who also delivered a power point presentations on SSG - Direct observation on Household level, Village level, Public places and SBM (G) Plants. The workshop concluded with a closing remark by Lhousikhono Zinyü, State Sanitation & Hygiene Consultant, WSSO PHED.
