The State Level Workshop on 3rd Chief Secretaries Conference sub-theme 'Schooling' was conducted today at Nagaland’s Secretariat Conference Hall, Kohima.
The State conducted this workshop to formulate State Feedback Note on the 'Schooling'.
Kevileno Angami, Commissioner & Secretary School Education and SCERT while delivering the opening remark briefed the participants about the exercise carried out by the State as directed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
She informed that a total 86 officers comprising of IAS,NCS and Education officers provided Feedback Note on 'Schooling' which were uploaded in the NITI Ayog Portal.
Angami also informed the participants that based on the workshop, the State Feedback Note on ‘Schooling' shall be prepared and uploaded in the NITI Ayog portal by incorporating suggestions received from the officers.
Further, she also said that the Ministry of Education will present the theme on ‘Schooling' during the 3rd Chief Secretaries Conference scheduled in the month of October/November 2023.
R. Ramakhrishnan, Principal Secretary & Development Commissioner Nagaland spoke on the importance of the exercise and urged the participants to take active part in sharing their inputs.
He expressed concern over the state of school infrastructure and spoke of the need to improve them to provide quality education to students.
The State Level Workshop on 3rd Chief Secretaries Conference sub-theme 'Schooling ' focus on eight (8) key areas- Ease of Issuance /Re-issuance /Modification of Transfer Certificate/Marksheet/Migration Certificate in Government Schools, Verification of Certificate/Marksheets to be made easy, Introduction of Re-evaluation/Improvement examinations, Twinning of Schools for ease in admission process, Felicitation in registration of students for Aadhaar 6) Universalization in use of DigiLocker for all educational certificates, Quality Infrastructure in schools and Improving Learning Outcomes.
This exercise is in line with the theme of the 3rd Chief Secretaries Conference "Promoting Ease of Living through Good Governance and Use of Technology."
James, Senior Lecturer DIET Dimapur, K Nakhro, Chief Coordinator (IT) NBSE and Kelhikha Kenye, Deputy Mission Directo, Samagra Shiksha made power point presentations on the 8 key points in the workshop.
Asano Sekhose, Chairman NBSE, Keviraleu-u Kerhuo, Director SCERT, officials from the Directorate of School Education, SCERT, NBSE, Samagra Shiksha and NECTAR Project also attended the workshop.
