State level workshop on ‘Beauty, Self-Care and Wellness’ organised at the Dimapur Government College seminar hall on October 22.

Dimapur, October 23 (MExN): A one-day state level workshop on ‘beauty, self-care and wellness’ was organised at the Dimapur Government College (DGC) seminar hall on October 22.
The event, conducted by the Skill Development Committee in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), saw participation from 54 faculty members and students, a press release stated. The workshop aimed to create awareness about the importance of self-care, grooming, and holistic well-being.

DGC Assistant Professor and chairperson, Kilangsungla Pongener emphasised the relevance of self-care in today’s lifestyle during the event.
The session was conducted by resource person Hukali Avito Swu, a makeup artist, beauty educator, and former cabin crew professional. Seven faculty members volunteered for live demonstrations on makeup, facial, and waxing.
Students enrolled in the college’s two-month beauty crash course demonstrated various techniques, including makeup application, facial care, hairstyling, waxing, and threading.

Swu shared key insights during the demonstrations, explaining steps for skincare and makeup routines, covering techniques like foundation blending, use of setting powder, eyelash application, and selecting the correct foundation shade.
She also demonstrated facial massage techniques on a student using a Gua Sha tool, the spokesperson said.
