State tally at 539, 31 recoveries on Friday

Kohima, July 3 (MExN): Nagaland reported 31 recoveries from COVID-19 on July 3, after a steady rise in positive cases over the week. According to official updates, Peren, Dimapur and Kohima districts reported 10 recoveries each while Phek registered one recovery case on Friday.


However, the state also reported four positive COVID-19 cases earlier in the day, taking the state’s total tally to 539. Mon reported 3 new cases while the other was from Peren.   With this, the total number of active cases in the state stands at 311 while 228 have recovered.


As per the daily briefing from Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha, all the positive persons are symptomatic and receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals.
