State to first release fund share against developmental projects

DIMAPUR, APRIL 30 (MExN): Member of Parliament Lok Sabha, Tokheho Yepthomi visited Phek District and conducted a meeting with the District Development Co-ordination & Monitoring Committee (DISHA) at DPDB Phek on April 29. 

Addressing the meeting, the MP highlighted the new system of rules that has taken precedence in India in connection to the state and central share of funding against development schemes/projects. From this current year onwards, he informed that the state government would have to first release its share against those projects, then only the centre will release its share within the next thirty days which will be followed by sanction of the projects.

Similarly, he also informed that if development money either state or central share is found kept in civil deposit by the state government, then the Government of India will directly transfer that money to the account of the union government.

While highlighting this, the MP urged the officers of the respective departments for proper utilization of funds. He also directed the concerned DISHA officers to be sincere in taking up available central sponsored project and properly implement them on time. 

All the department officers under DISHA Committee, Phek which includes, Food & Civil Supply, PWD (R&B), Social Welfare, Power, Agriculture  H&FW, Land Resources, PHED, RD, and Horticulture Dept. attended the discussion meeting and gave brief presentations on activities undertaken by the respective departments. 

Deputy Commissioner, Phek, Kumar Ramnikhant who chaired the meeting highlighted the role of DISHA Committee in the district. He also apprised the MP Lok Sabha on the central schemes and projects in respective departments which are implemented in accordance with their guidelines.
