Mokokchung, July 31 (MExN): While laying the foundation stone of the P. Shilu Ao Park, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio expressed regret that the state’s first Chief Minister had been forgotten for too long. He bluntly said that there will be no ‘workmanship compromise’ in building the Park and extended a contribution of Rs.1 crore.
Coincidentally, the proposed site for the building of the Shilu Ao Park is located in between the High School named after Mayangnokcha, a pioneer educationist among Nagas, and the sports complex named after Imkongmeren, a Naga national leader who also served as vice president of the Naga National Council and was a contemporary of the legendary A Z Phizo.
