
679 samples negative so far; results for 29 awaited
KOHIMA, MAY 4 (MExN): Out of 708 samples sent for COVID-19 testing from Nagaland, 679 has returned negative so far, and the state officially remained free of the pandemic as of 3PM, on May 4. Results for 21 samples are awaited.
Out of 708 samples, 24 samples were sent after 3 pm of May 3 till 3 pm of May 4, the Department of Health and Family Welfare’s daily COVID-19 Bulletin informed.
Meanwhile, during the daily briefing in Kohima on Monday, Minister, Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu informed that the state has partnered with Project Step One, an organization providing technical support for the tele-triage, for COVID-19 specific telemedicine.
Citizens can stay home and consult a doctor on the phone and take advice, he said.
Stating that the COVID-19 pandemic poses a grave challenge to all, he maintained that the government is increasing its preparedness at all levels and sought cooperation from all.
