Six new cases, active cases at 27 

Dimapur, July 7 (MExN): COVID-19 cases are on a rise in Nagaland, with records showing a slow but steady climb over the past few days. The health department’s Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) stated that the state recorded six new positive cases—one in the capital city of Kohima and five in Dimapur. The new cases were detected among 60 samples that were tested in the last 24 hours, with a daily positivity rate of 10 per cent. No recoveries or fatalities were reported on Thursday. The state previously logged six cases each on July 6 and 5. The current caseload for Nagaland is 35,534, including 33,253 recoveries and 757 deaths. There are currently 27 active cases in the state; all under home isolation, according to the IDSP’s daily health bulletin.  While Dimapur has the highest number of active cases at 15, Peren district follows with six, Kohima three, Longleng two and Mokokchung one.
