Step out of comfort zones to succeed, MLA Longon echorts students

KSU’ 63rd General Session underway in Noklak 

Noklak, January 8 (MExN): Legislator and Chairman of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Noklak, P Longon, has exhorted students to step out of their comfort zones and embrace challenges as a pathway to success.

He was addressing the second day of the 63rd General Session of the Khiamniungan Students Union (KSU) at Sanglao Village, where he attended as the Special Guest. The Session commenced on January 7. 

Speaking on the theme, “Transcending Challenges, Building a Shared Future,” Longon said that genuine progress comes only through perseverance and asserted that good things happen only in life only when one takes up challenges

He also urged students to approach their studies and work with sincerity and dedication.

The Legislator also observed that the strength of students within the Khiamniungan community has grown not only in numbers but in quality, noting a visible improvement in confidence, communication skills, and overall outlook among the present generation.

Calling for a balanced approach to life, he reminded students that academic and professional excellence should go hand in hand with moral and spiritual grounding. 

He encouraged the youth to fear God and seek divine wisdom, which he described as essential for a meaningful and successful life.

In a nostalgic note, Longon also recalled his long association with the KSU and expressed appreciation for the organisation’s growth over the years, informed the State DIPR. 

The programme featured a cultural prelude by the runner-up of the ENSF Cultural Fiesta 2025, addresses by the KSU President, Khiamniungan Tribal Council President and ENSF President, along with special presentations by Thang Students’ Union and Sanglao Students’ Union.
