STKK flays ‘personal attacks’ on Minister, demands apology

Satakha, March 2 (MExN): The Satakha Tokukujo Kukami Kuqhakulu (STKK), or the Satakha Area GB Association, has condemned what it termed the “recent derogatory remarks” allegedly made by the NFHRCC, deliberately targeting Minister G Kaito Aye through personal attacks and unfounded character assassination.

While acknowledging the Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee's (NFHRCC) past contributions to public welfare, including its role in advancing the Foothill Road project, the STKK stated that it was appalled by the “reckless deviation into alienating language that undermines the dignity of a tall leader devoted to serving Nagaland and its people.”

According to the Association, the NFHRCC’s statement “transgresses the basic tenets of civility and mutual respect expected of anybody entrusted with public responsibility.”

It further asserted that shifting from constructive discourse to malicious insinuations not only dishonours the spirit of collaboration but also jeopardises collective progress, adding that it casts doubt on the committee’s credibility.

Asserting that all the citizens of Satakha have been greatly insulted, the STKK demanded an “immediate and unequivocal withdrawal of the offensive statements, accompanied by a public apology from the NFHRCC” for allegedly tarnishing the Minister’s reputation and inflicting anguish upon the people he serves.

It also urged the NFHRCC to refrain from inflammatory tactics in the future, as such actions threaten to destabilise public trust and derail critical development initiatives.

The STKK called upon all stakeholders to rise above petty discord and prioritise Nagaland’s shared aspirations.
“Let us channel our energies not into divisive exaggerations but foster unity, accountability and progress,” it added.
