STMS undertakes 6th phase of relief works

The St Thomas Mission Society has been donating food kits to needy families in Dimapur throughout this COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown. 

DIMAPUR, MAY 31 (MExN): The St. Thomas Mission Society (STMS), Dimapur distributed food kits with essential items to families affected by the lockdown caused due to the COVID-19 pandemic in and around Dimapur.


The distribution drive was conducted on May 31 after the Pentecosti service. 


Mission society members along with church members maintaining safety measures, packed and distributed food kits to the student’s families and needy families near in Midland, Sachu colony, Landmark, Rio colony, Lingrijan and Dhobinala.


Mission society secretary, Fr. Dr. P. S. Varghese, expressed gratitude to all the sponsors, teachers of MGMHSS and MGOS Church members for taking initiative to identify and distribute the food kits.


This is the 6th phase of mission society's 'Food for Security' COVID-19 relief programme. In this phase, 55 beneficiaries were reached and so far 455 food kits have been distributed.
