Mokokchung, September 6 (MExN): In connection with ongoing construction of two-lane road between DEF church and Yisemyong (National Highway-61), there will be blasting of blasting of stones in the Angetyongpang Tzu River area between 3PM and 10PM on September 8.
A notification from the Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung Thsuvisie Phoji informed that JKM Infra Works LLP, a construction company from Guwahati, Assam, has been granted permission to carry out blasting of stones for the road widening project with certain conditions.
Among others, the conditions stipulated that the contractor, JKM Infra Works LLP, must take all necessary precautions to safeguard the lives and properties of those using the road.
Further, company is required to adhere to all relevant rules and regulations of the Explosives Act/Rule, 2008 and will be held responsible for any damage to life and property resulting from the blasting.
The conditions have been set to ensure the safety and security of the public and their properties during the exercise, the notification said.
This permit for blasting is also valid only for the specified date, i.e. September 8, it added.
