DIMAPUR, APRIL 7 (MExN): Dimapur Government College Student’s Council (DGCSU) in collaboration with Dimapur Municipal Council, Directorate of Food and Civil Supplies, Oriental Colony Village Council, National Cadet Corps and National Service Scheme of DGC conducted a joint social work on April 6 in an effort to clean up the garbage/waste dumped at the college wall adjoining NH-36.
The, DGCSC, in a press note lamented that despite repeated warnings by concerned authorities, the general public continue to dump garbage at the college wall. It pointed out that dumping of wastes not only has negative environmental impacts but causes significant risk to the health of the students and pedestrians.
In this connection, the DGCSC has requested the general public to keep the surroundings clean for the convenience of students and the people residing in the vicinity and refrain from throwing garbage on the college wall.
