Mokokchung, May 23 (MExN): Adolescent Club of Mokokchung district performed street play on ‘Adolescent Health’ in different blocks of the district on May 21 and 22. The club members under the guidance of DMEIO performed the street plays on different health topics like anaemia and dangers of early pregnancy, informed a press release received here. Asenla, one of the club members, gave a short presentation on anaemia, where she apprised that anaemia develops when blood lacks enough healthy red blood cells or haemoglobin. She also highlighted the signs and symptoms of anaemia and dangers of early pregnancy.
The street play was performed with an aim to create awareness and sensitise the adolescents on their health, thus changing their behaviour towards healthy habits.
IEC leaflets on different health topics were distributed among the participants during the programmes, which were attended by DMEIO, IEC personnel and DCM.
