Kohima, January 22 (MExN): The Khezhakeno-Pfutseromi Friendship Day was held on January 20 at Khezhakeno village.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Dr Neisatuo Mero called for strengthening unity and friendship among Khezhakeno- Pfutseromi villages.
This programme will facilitate peace and brotherhood among us and to other communities too, he said.
“If we have love, fondness and likeness towards our society and also sincerity with dedication in the true spirit of oneness then I believe this bond of brotherhood and friendship will become stronger with each successive year which can also send out a strong signal that we must live in mutual coexistence,” he said.
Timikha Koza, president Tenyimi People’s Organization said “we must stand for the right and positive attitude should lead us.”
Unveiling the monolith at Khezhakeno village on the day, Pfutseromi Village Council chairman Lhiwepelo Ritse said that friendship and brotherhood must be for a better future.
Kewekope Mero, ex VCC Pfutseromi expressed gratitude to the Khezhakeno citizens and the past and present leaders for their constant love and support to the Pfutseromi.
Dr. Joel Koza, Deputy Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Zekotso Mero, IPS (Retd IGP) and others also spoke on the occasion.
