DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 9 (MExN): The Wakching Students’ Union, Wakching Town Students’ Union and Wakching Chingla Village Students’ Union has constituted a committee under the nomenclature “Wakching Highway Quality Checking Committee”
A joint statement issued by the three student organizations informed on Sunday that the committee will look after the quality of road within Wakching portion, i.e, from Dikhu Bridge to Wakching-Tanhai boundary in connection to construction of National Highway-Merangkong-Tamlu-Mon road under SARDP-NE.
The committee shall be led by Yonglong Chemshe as chairman and Methwang Konyak, Chingak Konyak, K Nyeang Konyak, Chingjei Konyak and Yongwe PM as members. All firms and contractors executing the works of the above mentioned highway at Wakching portion have therefore been informed that the committee will ensure that works are executed as per the standard of a national highway.
