The Unions also wanted to know the reason for backdoor appointment.  The Unions also pointed out that some of the appointees are under aged - 16 to 17 years of age, which clearly symbolizes the authoritative of the concerned department.

“In fact, qualifications for appointment of government servant are not taken into account. Therefore, you are kindly requested to state reason, why under age applicants are being appointed,” it demanded.

Stating that as per the Communitization Act, the VEC/WEC was empowered to recommend for appointment of teachers in their respective schools, the press note pointed out that the act has become a “mockery for the concerned authority”. “…the said Act was passed for the participation of the community in the teaching learning process. However, taking the power in their own hands, the VEC/WEC empowerment is ignored. As such, the reasons may kindly be made known to the undersigned and the public in general,” the note stated.

As such, communal tension can be created and may cause injury to the “peace loving citizens of the District”.
