Dimapur, April 21 (MExN): Nagaland Startups in collaboration with YouthNet conducted an Entrepreneurship Development Workshop at Livingstone Foundation Hr Sec School, Dimapur on April 21.
The workshop was organised with the aims to target students and fresh graduates in imparting entrepreneurship skills like marketing, branding, finance and discovering business opportunities.
The session started with a welcome note by Atohoto Zhimo, Chairman of Nagaland Startups and hosted by Lezo Putsure, Director of YouthNet.
The resource persons for the workshop included Imtisunup Longchar, founder, www.ilando.com; Temsusenla Kichu, founder FUSION; and Rozelle Mero, Managing Director of The People Channel.
The resource persons spoke on various important aspects of business, entrepreneurship and employment. The co-founder of ilandlo.com, Imtisunup Longchar presented a talk on marketing strategy, how to sell products and services. “Let people realise the need of your services or products,” quotes Imtisunup.
Founder of Fusion store, Temsusenla Kichu spoke about challenges that an entrepreneur faces and shared about her entrepreneurial journey. She encouraged young people to grab and make use of every opportunity. She encouraged them to look for mentors and before starting any business to have an idea as finance will always follow in.
Rozelle Mero, Managing Director of The People Channel, spoke about the opportunities that one can tap in industries like tourism and hospitality. The People Channel has trained thousands of young people in Nagaland and beyond who are placed in many top companies.
The workshop was attended by more than 100 people including students, entrepreneurs and fresh graduates.
