Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): Peace Channel, Wokha district organized a day programme for teachers and students of the club at Don Bosco Youth Center on May 14 under the theme “Give Peace a Chance”.
A press note issued by the Peace Channel Desk said that the purpose of the training was to empower the youth with the qualities of a true leader and enable them to be the instrument of peace in the family, Educational institutions and the society at large. Cynthia, the district coordinator and Monica the trainer animated the students and Kishore Das and Rev. Fr. Mathew DSB oriented the teachers on various teaching methods, class room management and peace education respectively.
Around 113 teachers and students participated in the programme. The programme was concluded with group discussion and action plan. The program ended successfully owing to the full support and cooperation extended by the school management, teacher in-charge and the peace club members. All the participants pledged to promote peace in all the circumstances of their lives.
