Wokha, October 13 (DIPR): Training of BLOs for 2 Assembly Constituencies 37-Tiyi and 38-Wokha for Special Summary Revision, 2018 was held at Deputy Commissioner’s, Conference Hall on October 13.
The training is for inclusion of new voters between the ages of 18 years to 21 years. As per ECI Revision Schedule the Special Summary Revision, 2018 for Wokha District have already started.
E/Roll Observer for Wokha District, Commissioner & Secretary, Industries and Commerce, N. Hushile Sema in her two day visit to Wokha, expressing her happiness said 90% of the BLOs in the country as well as the State are teachers.
They are not only the backbone of the Nation in terms of spreading knowledge, but are also backbone for the successful implementation of electioneering process of the country she said, adding that the country will not move forward without them. Speaking on the role and responsibilities of the BLOs, Hushile urged them to be diligent as the success of the electioneering process in the district as well as the state largely depend on their performance.
DEO and DC, Wokha, Wezope Kenye in his opening remark, welcomed the E/Roll Observers in the district and expressed his appreciation that all the BLOs are well equipped and acquainted of their roles and responsibilities. He maintained that the district is ready to face the forthcoming state assembly election. He also said that special campaign with Booth Level Agents of Political Parties for receiving claims and objections at their respective Polling Stations will be conducted on October 14-28.
Master Trainers including AERO, 38 A/C and SDO (C), Lanusenla Longkumer, AERO, 37 A/C and EAC (HQ), Vejoyo Swuro and AEO, Wokha, Toshimongba Longchar conducted the training.
