Dimapur, May 9 (MExN): Eight successful students from Government High School Wozhuro in the recent High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam conducted by Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) were felicitated on May 7.
The Change Initiative Team, a not-for- profit organisation based in Wozuro Town, organised the felicitation programme.
According to a press note, the Additional Director, DoSE Wonthungo Tsopoe was the special guest at the function while other guest including the DDEO Wokha Sentinenla, and SDEO Wokha, T Chonpenthung Odyuo, horde of teachers and leaders of the rang were in attendance.
While congratulating the students and staff members of the school for the consistent in results since it upgradation in 2012, Tsopoe stressed on the need to invest more energy and enthusiasm in Government run Schools and prove that they are second to none in the country.
This would lead to a shift from the current depressing trend of nil results in most government schools in the State in spite of the much new recruitment undertaken by the department to curb the problem, he added.
He further said that GHS Wozhuro for one can take up the challenge and play as a role model to others by rededicating itself for the cause of quality education and produce even better results in future.
