Sufficient rice stocks in Nagaland, confirms FCI

DIMAPUR, JULY 12 (MExN): The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has assured that there are ample rice stocks available to meet the requirements of the National Food Security Act (NFSA) in Nagaland. As of July 11, the central pool holds approximately 46,800 metric tons (MT) of fortified rice kernels (FRK), far exceeding the 11,500 MT needed for distribution in July. This stock level is well above the buffer norms and operational requirements, ensuring sufficient rice supply for the state, the FCI stated in a press release today.
