Dr Samuel Akho Konyak P EAC HQ Longleng and i/c Yongnyah HQ launching SUMAN with Dr Imnameren Phom DPO RCH/UIP and Yongnyah MO Dr Banglau and Village leaders.
Longleng, March 4 (MExN): SUMAN launching programme was held with Dr Samuel Akho Konyak P, EAC Longleng HQ and i/c Yongnyah HQ as special guest at CHC Yongnyah, Longleng district on March 4.
A press release issued by Media Officer CMO office stated that resource person Dr Imnameren Phom DPO (RCH/UIP) Longleng gave keynote address and PPT presentation on SUMAN scheme which is a Government initiative that focuses on the assured delivery of maternal and new born health services. In his presentation, Dr Imnameren stated that SUMAN is an initiative to create responsible health care system which strives to achieve zero maternal and infant deaths through Quality and respect, its goal which is to end all preventable maternal and new born death. The beneficiaries for SUMAN scheme are all pregnant women and all mothers upto 6months post delivery and all sick infants
Special guest Dr Samuel Akho Konyak P, EAC Longleng HQ and i/c Yongnyah HQ in his speech appreciated the CHC Yongnyah team led by MO Dr Banglau for working tirelessly. He emphasised on how SUMAN can save oneself from preventable death and to give importance on Anto Natal Check-up during pregnancy. He urged everyone present on the Launching to contribute because community participation is very important to give awareness to the General public and to avail free and safe services for delivery care and treatment and to make the most of free cost services available under SUMAN initiative.
Earlier, welcome address was delivered by Dr Banglau Phom MO CHC Yongnyah. The programme was chaired by Nungei M Phom BAC Yongnyah invocation by Yongnyah, Pastor Town Baptist church welcome address by Dr Banglau MO Yongnyah. Short speeches were delivered by VCC Yongnyah village, pastor NCRC Yongnyah Village and President Yongnyah Hongnyula .
