Pughoboto, December 17 (MExN): The Sumi Aphuyemi Catholic Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (SACAK) held its annual session in Pughoboto from December 12-14 under the theme “Pilgrims of Hope.”

The three-day conference was attended by around 200 delegates representing five villages.

The theme address was delivered by Rev Fr Paul Inashe, the Parish Priest who underlined that hope is the driving energy that gives meaning to human life.

He said hope is something that cannot be taken away from an individual and described the Church as a spiritual beacon of hope for the faithful in an often challenging world.

Other speakers at the conference included Vihokhu Paul, headmaster of Government Middle School, Mukalimi; Ivitoli Swu, Agriculture Inspector, Pughoboto; and Khutovi Vincent, Assistant Headmaster of Government High School, Lazami.

The programme also featured the blessing of newly elected office-bearers and executives by Rev Fr Inashe.

At the conclusion of the session, the SACAK President Vitoho Sumi expressed gratitude to the organisers, speakers and delegates for their participation and support.
