Dimapur, October 22 (MExN): The Sumi Hoho has registered a strong objection against the proposed inauguration of Chanka village in Charang valley. Echoing Zuxushe Village Council’s contention, the Sumi Hoho stated that the new settlement in the form of Chanka village is “illegal and forcibly settled.” The Sumi Hoho executive in a note stated that the said village is very much within the land of Zuxushe village “which is evidently proved by history and available documents.” The Hoho has urged the concern authority and “any state government official” to be aware of this nature and situation. Adequate steps to stop “such illegal settlement” should be initiated, not to talk of inauguration or recognition, it added.
