Sumi Hoho notes UGs’ diktats

Dimapur, November 2 (MExN): Exasperated with the diktats issued by underground factions to cross-sections of the people, the Sumi Hoho has reminded the underground leaders to review their stand to pave way for reconciliation. This declaration was an outcome of an emergency meeting of the Sumi Hoho on October 10, informed session chairman Kashito Yeptho and session secretary Tokheho L Sumi in a copy of the meetings minute received here.

The Sumi Hoho strongly decried: “The Sumi Hoho has never been happy with the factions issuing thoughtless statements, decrees and azhas against civil societies, NGOs, public leaders, peace emissaries with quit notices, excommunication declaration, assassination bids, anti-national and anti-people orders…every action has its own reactions, therefore the concerned leadership are expected to review their stand to pave way for reconciliation with one another.”

The Hoho also condemned the “merciless eviction” of Inavi villagers by the NSCN-IM. It resolved to strongly support the Western Sumi Hoho and “other friendly organizations” in this regard.  The emergency meeting also decided to postpone the Sumi Hoho general session scheduled to be held in the last part of October. This was due to non-receipt of the full list of new Sumi Hoho members, the copy informed.
