Zunheboto, November 30 (MExN): Sumi Kukami Hoho held it’s general session at town hall Zunheboto on November 29.
According to DIPR, Advisor for School Education, K.T Sukhalu whose speech was read out by Vekhoyi stated that the GBs were introduced by the Britishers for the purpose of village Administration. GBs serve as an agent to represent his village and assist the government in law and order within his jurisdiction, but today the responsibilities of the GBs go beyond their respective villages, and so they should assist the administration and the government in every way.
ADC Zunheboto said that the GBs are the backbone of the district administration and thanked the GBs of Zunheboto district on behalf of the administration for their services, and added that without the support of the GBs the administration cannot function.
During the session new team of Sumi Kukami Hoho were elected for the tenure 2018 to 2023; H. Kashito Yepthomi as President, Khekato Chishi Vice president, Vikato S Yeptho General Secretary, and Nihovi Chophy Vice president.
