Supermodel Opang Jamir to Groom Mr Arunachal 2016

A Modelling pageant for men called Mr Arunachal Mega Model hunt 2016 will take place in Itanagar this October. With the concept of ‘Think global and act local’, the event management group Aries Corps is organizing the Mr Arunachal Mega Model Contest-2016 come October –a first of its kind event in Arunachal.   Addressing the media at the press club here today, advisor to Aries Corps Tadi Dodum informed that the male model hunt competition is being held to create a platform for aspiring youths to become the voice of the Arunachalee society in the national as well as international level. Accordingly, the organizers brought in Supermodel Opang Jamir former title holder of Mr International India -2012, as the grooming guru and Personality Development trainer Opang Jamir to promote the event and also groom the selected participants before the main event in the 10-day grooming session in October.  

A native of Mokokchung Nagaland, Jamir said that the tribal society needs to indulge in positive activities and the entertainment business is one such area that provides good job opportunities, recognition and builds confidence.   Further, Aries Corps proprietor Taniya Budh informed that auditions will be held at Itanagar, Ziro, Pasighat, Aalo and Bomdila for men aged between 18 to 28 years. With the minimum height slated at 5.7 feet, the participants will also be judged on their personality, walk and posture.
