SUPNER activities highlighted

Kohima, September 9 (MExN): A meeting via video conference mode was held under the chairpersonship of Hibu Tamang, IPS Additional Commissioner Police (SUPNER) Special Police unit of North-Eastern Region Delhi Police.

A press release from the PRO New Delhi said that during the meeting, the Commissioner Police SPUNER thanked the officials from all the Bhawans for acting proactively to provide help to the NE people landing in Delhi for different purpose as well as for the good coordination between SPUNER and state Bhawans during present pandemic.

He also informed the house that a new building for SPUNER unit is coming up at Nanakpura and that Delhi Police has recruited around 1100 personal from different B state and they are deputed especially in areas where NE people are residing in high in numbers.

“The purpose of the meeting is basically to re-activate the contacts with the North-Eastern Bhawans as no physical meeting has taken place during last one and half years due to present pandemic,” it stated. 

Requesting all the Bhawans to keep in touch with SPUNER for security related issues if required, from Nagaland state, Chief Resident Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Joyti Kalash IAS; Joint Resident Commissioner, Sarita Yadav IAS and Dy Resident Commissioner Nagaland House Delhi, Wennyei Konyak attended the conference.
