A prominent Naga community member in Chennai Aso K. Shimray in his speech appreciated FNR and Rev. Dr. Wati Aier for his leadership, then appeal to all Nagas to discard the pride and to make the realization of our mistakes which is the sin that is stopping us to achieve our goal.
Also, speaking on the occasion Zuneyi Veyie a senior Naga community member in Chennai appealed to all Naga national leaders to come together for the reconciliation inspite of our divisions. “Naga national leaders who are not willing to come for the reconciliation they are not working for the Nagas but working only for their favorite groups and tribes” he said.
NCF Chennai Pastor Wapangtoshi in his message at the event base on 2 Chronicles 7:14 appealed to all Nagas that if we humble ourselves at the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ our sins will be forgiven and our cries will hear from heaven and God will heal our land. Further, he appealed to all the Naga national leaders not to miss this great opportunity for the highest level summit of reconciliation and to act upon their promise immediately. “If you wait for the next time, we never know how many precious Naga lives will be lost, if you wait for the next time, we don’t know how much Nagas will suffer. Therefore, don’t wait for the next time,” he added.
Earlier in the service Maximillian Pamei read out the message from the FNR convener and Aribeni Kikon read the Word of God. Hingba Paul, Vice President NSUC was the leader of the service and the congregation sang the hymn “We shall overcome” to begin the candle light moment. The evening came to an end with a prayer.
