Supporting party at home, aiding others outside unethical: NDPP Zunheboto 

Kohima/Zunheboto, November 23 (MExN): There are many workers who support party candidate in their own constituency but tend to extend moral and materialistic support to other political parties in other constituencies, a recent meeting of NDPP Zunheboto has observed. 

This is wholly against the ethics and the constitution of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), resolved a consultative meeting of the Central Executive Board (CEB) representing NDPP Zunheboto Region on November 18 in Zunheboto.

Accordingly, the meeting cautioned of strict disciplinary action against any NDPP workers found practicing the illegal activity, stated a press release from Aheto V Yepthomi, General Secretary NDPP CEB.

The NDPP legislators or candidates were also requested to notify their supporters and remind them of the consequences involved, it added. 

Meanwhile, the meeting ‘wholeheartedly’ endorsed the functioning of the NDPP Zunheboto Region and extended appreciation for its all round activities including the maintenance of a well equipped digitalised office, the release said.  

It further called upon the NDPP Area Units of 31-Akuluto A/C, 32-Atoizu A/C, 33-Suruhuto A/C, 34-Aghunato A/C, 35-Zunheboto A/C and 36-Satakha A/C to be very “vigilant and remain true to their conviction as loyal party workers and be prepared to face any eventuality in the days ahead.” 

The meeting also resolved unanimously resolved to extend full support to all the NDPP candidates in the election and work unitedly without any bias or prejudice. 

As per the release, the meeting was held to assess preparedness of the party to face the upcoming General Assembly Elections ‘as and when’ notified by the Election Commission of India. 

Among others, the meeting was attended by NDPP Zunheboto Region General Secretary P Hutovi Awomi and members of CEB including Ahovi Zhimomi Vice-President; Kikheto Muru Vice-President; Aheto V Yepthomi General Secretary; Kakheho Yeptho, Secretary; Tovili Yeptho Secretary; and Kashiho Zhimo Joint Secretary.
