Dimapur/Kohima, January 30 (MExN): The 32 Assam Rifles have claimed the arrest of an NSCN (K) cadre from Hotel Grand Horizon, Dimapur on January 28. A defence press release identified the cadre as A Akashe Achumy, 23. One Yamaha Apache bike with registration certificate, driving license, PAN card, cash amounting to Rs. 20,940, and one Intex mobile with SIM Card were recovered from him, it said. The accused along with all recovered items was handed over to police station, East Dimapur for further investigation, the release added. In another incident in Kohima, Assam Rifles troops apprehended an alleged NSCN (K) cadre from Capital Hotel on January 29. Identified as Kilonser AH Wangba Konyak, the apprehended person revealed that he had been involved in serving extortion notes, according to a press release from Lt Col Amitabh Sharma, PRO, HQ IGAR (N). He was handed over to police station, North Kohima for further investigation, the release informed.
