Meluri, July 27 (DIPR): Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) special drive campaign with the theme “No Voter to be Left Behind” was held at Government Higher Secondary School, Meluri Town on July 26, 2017. The special drive campaign emphasized on the age group of 18-21 years District Icon and Miss Nagaland 2nd runnerup 2014, Muluvesalü Keyho, as the main speaker, dwelt on the importance of enrolment in the electoral roll and democratic rights of the electors.
Highlight on SVEEP and special drive was delivered by Assistant Election Officer Phek, Olivi Thurr. Clean Election Pledge was administered by SDO (C) Meluri, Benjamin Longkap. Earlier, Principal GHSS Meluri, K.U. Shankar delivered the welcome note. PGT GHSS Meluri, T. Simon chaired the session. Around 100 students including teachers from GHSS Meluri and St. Xavier Higher Secondary School Meluri attended the programme.
