Kiphire, August 29 (MExN): As part of its Social Service Objective, Seyochung Village Government Employee's Union, Kiphire District (SVGEUKD) carried out a cleanliness drive at Kiphire Cemetery in the morning of August 29. About 76 members of the union participated in the cleanliness drive. A press release from SVGEUKD President, Daniel Sechopi Sangtam and General Secretary, K Alipa Sangtam stated that Kiphire Cemetery located at Kipongya Ward has not been maintained for long and is densely covered with thick bushes and all kinds of weeds. The union took the initiative to clear the jungle voluntarily. The union wished that all concerned stakeholders – wards/Town Council will take initiative to keep the cemetery properly maintained.
