TUENSANG, FEBRUARY 4 (MExN): The Shamator Village Students’ Union (SVSU) has condemned the assault on a woman in Shamator town on February 3. A press note from the SVSU Vice President, Kiuto and General Secretary, Shiuthong alleged that the incident occurred when a group of women from Shamator village went to Shamator town for buying essential goods and commodities at Shamator town. The SVSU alleged that a group of miscreants “came and forcefully returned the purchased goods and subsequently assaulted” the woman. It urged the law enforcing agencies and Shamator administration to book the culprits involved in the assault immediately and take necessary steps for safety of the villagers.
