SVSU inspects school, commits support for education

Seyochung Village Students' Union visited Government High School and inspected the progress of new library construction.

Kiphire, June 11 (MExN): A team from Seyochung Village Students' Union (SVSU), including Vice President Aseli Sangtam and Executive Chairman Thsioli, visited Government High School and inspected the progress of new library construction.

During discussions with teachers, several pressing issues were raised. Teachers emphasised the need for specialised support for students with learning disabilities, noting they lack proper training to assist these children effectively. Teachers also appealed for the Union's help to spread awareness about importance of education. The whole community must work together to ensure the smooth functioning of the school, they reiterated.

SVSU leaders assured their commitment to address the challenges and strengthening ties between the school and village. Regarding the library construction, the workers informed the Union that the project is expected to be completed by June 12, 2025.

The Union expressed their appreciation to the Department of Art and Culture for supporting rural development initiatives.
