Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): The National Convenor of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Yashwant Singh Darbar, who is also the BJP National Vice President of ST Morcha and Director of Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation Ltd. (TRIFED), Government of India, will visit Nagaland from March 19 to 20 as part of his North East Swachh Bharat Abhiyan tour.
He and his entourage will arrive from Imphal in the afternoon of March 19 and inaugurate the State Swachh Bharat Abhiyan office at NST Colony in Dimapur near City Tower at 3:00 pm, according to a press release from BJP Nagaland State general secretary, Jaangsillung Gonmei. It will be followed by a party (BJP) meeting with the State Office Bearers, State Frontals and District Swachh Bharat Committees at Hotel Saramati at 3:30 pm. After the meeting, the National Convenor will meet the State ST Morcha office bearers exclusively, the release added.
Further on March 20, there will be a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Cleanliness drive at two venues from 6:00 am to 9:00 am. The Dimapur Civil Hospital will be cleaned by a team comprising of State BJMM, State Minority Morcha, State Kisan Morcha and BJP Dimapur. The other venue surrounding Dimapur Commerce College will be cleaned by a team of State BJYM and State ST Morcha.
In both the venues, all the representatives of District Swachh Bharat Committees will also participate effectively and the State Office Bearers while participating will supervise the programme for its successful implementation, the press release said.
After the morning’s cleanliness drive, the National Convenor will address an interactive programme with the government departments, Dimapur Municipal Council, NGOs, and other public leaders, party’s State Office Bearers, State Frontals, District Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Committee members at 1:30 pm at Hotel Saramati.
All the BJP legislators, State Swachh Bharat Ambassadors, concerned citizens as well as all the above designated attendees have been requested by the State Swachh Bharat Convenor Imsu Jamir to attend the two-day programme positively, the release stated.
