Swachhata Hi Seva campaign was launched in Pfutsero the Pfutsero Town Council, in collaboration with the NSS unit of Pfutsero Government College.
PFUTSERO, SEPTEMBER 15 (MExN): In line with the rest of the country, the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign was launched in Pfutsero by the Pfutsero Town Council, in collaboration with the NSS unit of Pfutsero Government College under the theme "Your waste is your responsibility." ADC Pfutsero, Mhalo Humtsoe, officially inaugurated the campaign.
Speaking on this year’s theme, "Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskaar Swachhata," which translates to “cleanliness of nature – cleanliness of culture,” the ADC urged everyone to adopt cleanliness as a way of life, highlighting that it starts with each individual.
Humtsoe also administered the 'Swachhta Pledge,' a solemn commitment to uphold cleanliness and hygiene in daily lives, fostering a cleaner and healthier community.
The program was chaired by Nuvezo Kotso, a young council member, while Zhovi Dukru, NSS Program Officer at Pfutsero Government College, shared his greetings. Mikha Kenye, chairperson of the Pfutsero Town Council, also addressed the gathering.
Following the event, a cleanliness drive was conducted by the NSS unit of Pfutsero Government College.
The Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign is part of the Government of India’s celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission. The administration has planned various activities, culminating on October 2.
